At 5:15pm Shreveport Firefirefighters were dispatched out to a reported apartment on fire. As Engine 17 left their station they reported a "working fire" with heavy smoke visible. Engine 17 was first due and advised all units that fire was coming from the roof of a two story apartment building. Signal 51 was second due and Engine 15 was third due. Seconds after Engine 17 arrived dispatch was told to pull a second alarm on this fire. Medic 19 arrived to setup rehab on the "A" side on the structure. All units on scene moved to a defensive attack. Truck 9 set up their aerial ladder and used that for a short period. Brian Florsheim Sr., Tom Tompkins, Bill Ward, Cody Daniels, and Lydia McClanahan with Signal 51 all responded. Seven rehab bags were setup with water and Gatorade. All rehab bags were near empty after the fire. Minor injuries were reported but no transport. Engine 17 cleared the scene at 9:55pm.
